The summer season is in full swing and with it the time when we can use seasonal foods in our recipes. There are so many delicious ingredients to be found in the supermarkets and markets now. Tomatoes, strawberries, apricots, cherries, plums, melons, zucchini, peppers and beans are just some of the goodies that we can use in our dishes.

When we use seasonal and fresh foods in our recipes, the food not only tastes better, it's also healthier. These ingredients tend to be higher in nutrients because they are grown in their natural environment and not in greenhouses.
